The Medical Center Charter School

The general partners of Saint Nicholas Schools (under the sponsorship of the non-profit Medical Center Charter School) were granted one of the first six Open Enrollment Charters in Texas. The resulting Medical Center Charter School opened in September, 1996. It is adjacent to the Mullins location of Saint Nicholas School. It is a Texas Open Enrollment Charter School, free of tuition, offering grades Pre-K to 5. In June of 2006 the Board of Trustees of MCCS approved the establishment of the school's emphasis on Performing and Visual Arts. Students in grades kindergarten through five audition as part of the admissions process.
