LAUREL WELKEY,
Accounting, manages the parent accounts and other income for the schools,
including web payments and internet bookstores and uniform shops, and
enrollment contracts. She also manages
payroll and benefits. ADMINISTRATION
MONICA CONSULIA JOLIVET
is Principal and Special Education Director for the schools and holds a B.S. in Communicative
Disorders from Texas Southern University.
She has Texas Teacher Certification in the areas of Special Education,
Generic Teaching, and Speech and Hearing Therapy. She is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with the state
of Texas. She has been with Saint
Nicholas and Medical Center Charter School since 2001. CHRISTINE MEDOLLA GROENEWOLD
is Director of Admissions for Medical Center Charter School and Administrator
for SNS I. She has database and other
computer and administrative training and experience. She has been with the schools since 1999 as registrar and PEIMS
administrator, attending numerous workshops. JUDITH GARCIA,
Administrator for Saint Nicholas School, I, has been with Saint Nicholas since
2003. She is bilingual and has had
computer training. ALYS CHRISTINE DYKE,
Assistant to the Headmistress, received a BA degree in 1980 in Music from the
University of St. Thomas, Houston. Her
work experience includes design, recruiting, management, advertising media,
events, and publishing, in several artistic and management companies and
associations. She came to Saint
Nicholas in 1993. Her duties include
special projects, recruiting, advertising, data storage, publishing, community
partnerships, and scholarships. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRACIELA GARCIA
is Director of Montessori Teacher Training for the Infant and Orientation
Departments for Saint Nicholas Schools.
She studied psychology at the University of Houston and has Primary
Certification, ages two to six, from the National Center for Montessori
Education. She is certified to teach Developmental Gymnastics and she was named
Outstanding Teacher for Saint Nicholas School for 1992. She came to Saint Nicholas School in 1989. FINE ARTS
DEPARTMENT
To be updated. FOREIGN LANGUAGES DEPARTMENTTo be updated. ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT MUMTAZ HUMAYUN ALI, Elementary
Master Teacher, earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Education from the
University of Karachi, Pakistan, in 1998.
Mrs. Ali also has a diploma in computer. She came to Saint Nicholas in 1999, and completed her North
American Montessori Training Center Certification for ages three to six in 2002
and for six to nine in 2003. She is a social
work volunteer. She is the Supervising
Master Teacher for levels I and II for MCCS. SUPARNA
VASHISHT, Elementary Master Teacher, received a Bachelor of
Science in Education from India in 1992, a Diploma in Child Psychology, and a
Masters in Early Childhood Education. She completed her North American
Montessori Training Center Certification for ages six to nine, and was named
Outstanding Teacher for Saint Nicholas School in 2002. Mrs. Vashisht enjoys traveling, arts and
crafts, and natural sciences, and teaches art.
She is the Supervising Master Teacher for Levels III and IV for MCCS. PRIMARY DEPARTMENT LYN ANN MANKIN: See Faculty Development GRACIELA GARCIA: See Faculty Development SADAF TARIO SHAMS
holds a MSC in Physiology and a MPA in
Marketing from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. She has completed her
Montessori Certification from the North American Montessori Training Centre,
Canada. She has completed her Montessori
oral exams at Saint Nicholas. She has
received training in the Focus and Language Through Phonics, and
University of Chicago School Mathematics Project programs. Other training has been received from the
Neuhaus Education Center and special education consultants. She came to Saint Nicholas Schools in 2001. |
